Building a dream on one man's vision morphed into what is now Kim Haus. What was once the headquarters of prestigious jewellery, the Penang Kim How is now Kim Haus Loft. The team managed to retain the history & heritage of Georgetown yet developed a hip place for the new age travelers which contains 40 rooms.
The building facade had been retained as original meanwhile the interior has been placed with a conceptualized walkabout goldsmith's museum. Not only that, the name also has been somewhat retained as Kim Haus, originating from the word Kim How.

Staging some of Malaysia's upcoming talents, we have a followers of singer & song writer. Acoustic performance is among the nightly acts hosted at our live floor. Some go on to be endorsed musicians and also recording artist!

1. How to contact us?
Answer: We are reachable via Facebook Messenger at our Kim Haus FB Page.
2. Is there any car park spaces available?
Answer: There isn't any in house car parking spaces available but there are plenty of public parking spaces outside and a nearby private car park bays (payable from RM 8 per entry onwards). Just google for Chulia court, its within walking distance, few minutess away from Kim Haus.
3. Bed configuration of Kim Haus Loft.
Answer: Basically, the deluxe room comes with attached bathroom (shower, WC facilities) like any other hotel. However, it comes with 2 different design, namely the lower bunk bed rooms and the upper bunk bed rooms. Basically, upper bunk literally means bed with 5 flight of steps within the room (whereby the bed is located above us). All bed configuration are queen size bed only (there aren't any twin bedded rooms available). Private single room and twin bedded room does not have attached bathroom, all are shared bathroom.
Only limited rooms have windows but comes with sound proof walls and fully air conditioned. Basic Triple Room comes with a double bunk bed and a single bed, could comfortably fit up to three person. While our deluxe loft has a queen sized bed which is suitable for two person.
(a) What is a private single room?
Answer: Kim Haus has some private single room with sharing toilets. This is a private lockable room with a single bed in it and comes sharing toilets with other private room tenants.
(b) What is a private twin room?
Answer: This is also a private room with 2 single bunk beds inside. Again, this category of rooms comes with sharing toilet facilities.
4. How much does it costs for an extra bed?
It will costs RM50 for an extra bed.
5. Private Room with sharing toilets.
Answer: Kim Haus has around 10 private rooms with 3 sharing bathrooms. These are amongst the cheapest rooms available, they are all situated at level two, same floor as the bar, so it suits those who love partying and enjoy live music.We do have live performance every evening from 9pm onwards till roughly 11pm. For sure to try out our in house special cocktails, one will definitely not be enough for you!
6. Private Event Space For Rent
Answer: Kim Haus is great for events, we basically have 3 different types of 'rooms' available from the Gold Bar (bar sitting style), the Vault Room (dining seating style can cater up till 50 persons) with an actual 100 year old Vault (with private dining for 10) and a larger event space at Level 2, called the Kim Haus Live, that can cater for easily 100 persons or more great for product launching, retirement celebration, birthday party or even company annual events
Payment & Cancellation Policy
1. Payment and Cancellation Policy, What is your cancellation policy?
Answer: Reservations made via a 3rd party booking service (e.g. Booking.com, Agoda, Traveloka, Expedia, Airbnb, etc) must be cancelled through their booking platform, and cannot be cancelled by our Reservation Department. Booking made via our official website, www.centurybayprivateresidence.com cannot be cancel.
2. What is the process to cancel the reservation?
Answer: Cancellation can only be done via OTA/3rd party booking service and it depends on the cancellation policy set by the OTA. If you book via www.centurybayprivateresidence.com, no cancellation is allowed.
3. What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my hotel room?
Answer: All major credit cards (card charges apply)

4. Can you accept bank transfer or online transfer for room payments?
Answer: Yes, we do.
5. In what currency would we be billed?
Answer: Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
Check – In/ Out:
1. Is there a place for me to store my luggage if I arrive before my check-in time or check out early?
Answer: Yes. You may store your luggage at the front desk. Please note that overnight luggage storage is not available at any of our hotels. And guest are not allowed to leave their valuable items in the luggage as the hotel will not be responsible of any loss of items.
2. Can I arrange an early check-in? or late check-out?
Answer: The official checkout time is 12 noon . Late checkout services till 12:30 p.m. are available. Please note that it is subject to room’s availability. Any late check out after 12.30 p.m. onwards will be chargeable at RM30 per hour. Check-in will be from 2.00 p.m. onwards. Any early check in is allowed from 12.00 p.m. onwards depending on room availability.
3. What is the latest time for check in ?
On Friday and Saturday, the latest check in time will be till 1:00am. While on Sunday till Thursday, the latest check in time is only till 12:00am.

Answer: All reservation should be made via our official website at www.centurybayprivateresidence.com
2. If we do not have a Credit Card can we make our reservations via your Online Reservation Form and what are the procedures?
Answer: We are unable to process your reservation through online without a valid and accepted credit card and expiration date.
3. How far ahead should I make the reservation?
Answer: You must do reservation at least 24 hours before your check in date.
4. Do you charge a security deposit and how much is it? Is the security deposit refundable or non-refundable?
Answer: Yes, we do take a security deposit of RM 50.00 per room. This security deposit is refundable upon check out after deducting all the pending payments of the final night stay.
5. Is alcohol permitted at your hotel and cafe?
Answer: No, we do not allow alcohol in our rooms, however,we do have a bar/cafe at night that guest can have their drinks.
6. What details are required while checking in at the hotel?
Answer: Guests are required to present proof of identity (NRIC/Passport) and valid photo identification.
7. Is your online reservation process secure to protect my personal and credit card information?
Answer: The hotel room reservation made via www.centurybayprivateresidence.com is safe and secure. Once you enter your personal and Paypal information, your online reservation is processed through a secured computer server. The personal information you enter will be encrypted to keep it protected while in transit.
1. Can you arrange flowers, cakes and other special requests for events?
Answer: Please contact the hotel’s reservations desk with your request prior to arrival.
2. Can I change my dates of stay?
Answer: Yes, any modification should be done 7 days prior to check in date via the website/ OTA that you have booked. Please contact pur customer service.
3. Is the internet service wireless? Any extra charges for Internet services?
Answer: Yes. No extra charges are applicable for Wifi - it is complimentary from our management for our guests use.
4. Does your hotels offer courtesy airport transportation?
Answer: No. However, the concierge will be pleased to assist you with information and arrangements for Grabcar, taxis, and car rental.
5. Are pets allowed? If so, can you please advise on fees and any restrictions?
Answer: Yes, we do allow pets (Note: only small pets) at no additional charges but the guest / occupant has full responsibility over it and any damages caused by the pet is bearable by the owner itself. The owner of the pet is also reliable for their cleanliness.
6. Does your hotel provide complimentary breakfast?
Answer: It depends on the room package that you purchase. Some of the rooms come with complimentary breakfast. Otherwise, a 10% discount will be given to all our in house guest
